Join Jennifer Zwilling, Curator of Artistic Programs at The Clay Studio, and functional ceramic artist Delvin Goode, who will share his love of ceramic wheel throwing and his time serving in the U.S. Army. Goode is drawn to the intimacy of functional ceramics and feels that art is completed when fond memories are attached to the object through use. He creates small-batch series of mugs, bowls, and plates on a potter’s wheel before adding inventive graphics using custom vinyl stencils and an airbrush gun. He joined the U.S. Army in 2002 and is still enjoying every minute of it. Goode has since earned an MFA at Fort Hays State University, Kansas.
