Calvary Church is holding its Holiday Rummage Sale & Bazaar on Saturday, December 7, 10 am-3 pm. Please use the 48th Street entrance (an accessible lift is available upon request: see allmeansall.org/rummage for details).

Enjoy great deals on a wide variety of items, including clothing, toys, games, books, household items, small furniture, knick-knacks, and more! Homemade baked goods and hot drinks will also be available for sale.

10 years ago, Philadelphia’s Team Sunshine Performance dared themselves to do something no theater company has done before: Invite the same ensemble every 2-3 years to remake the same show… for 24 years. The Sincerity Project is an ambitious and audacious multi-decade theater piece that changes with each iteration in response to the shifts in our lives and in the world. Now in its fifth installment, Sincerity serves as a stopping point, a pause, a moment for us to sincerely engage with the harrowing, beautiful, and complex realities of time’s passing.

Musical Improv Workshop Series for Adults:

Learn to love the spontaneous, the unplanned, and the surprising as we improvise entire musicals from scratch!

Through improv exercises and songful games, we’ll create songs and scenes on the fly, learn common song structures, and practice the art of spontaneity within a supportive community. In addition to being extremely fun, musical improv offers practice in teamwork, flexibility within structure, mutual support, and creative problem-solving.

How are conflicts created and resolved in song? What makes a catchy chorus? How can you use a melody to reflect emotion? How do actors decide when to burst into song? After playing with these concepts, we’ll create our very own musical, which will be unforgettable and immediately forgotten.
