Why is the school menu HIGH CARB, PROCESSED and FULL of sugar?? Why we are feeding our kids this JUNK??
Real food doesn’t have ingredients. It IS the ingredients.

As of a few years ago, SDP gets $2.79/meal to spend from the state/federal government. $1.03 of that is spent on labor, $1.39 goes to food and supplies with the remaining $.39 on other. Of the $1.39, $.25 is milk, $.20 is fruit, and $.20-.50 is protein. It must hit a weekly average of 785 calories/meal.
If you have suggestions as to how the SDP Food Services could better work within that framework, their phone number is 215-400-4360.

The money and budget is very weak. But what they choose to do with the little cash they have is awful.
They buy low-nutrient, sugary foods. Even the protein has injected starch fillers.
Please give our children real food to eat. Thank you.
