If you’re looking for unique, handmade holiday gifts, don’t miss this annual event at The Rotunda on 40th and Walnut. The holiday edition of West Craft Fest (formerly known as Go West! Craft Fest) will be back Sunday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 60 local makers will present artisan jewelry, functional ceramics, home wares, clothing, cards, candles, soaps, scents, sweets, toys, tinctures, treasures, ornaments, and works of art at the event.

Next year, the Fest will be celebrating its 10th anniversary. It started in 2009 by crafter couple Wilder and Mike Scott-Straight of As The Crow Flies & Co. and VIX Emporium gift shop owner Emily Dorn. Although the Fest has recently changed its name due to concerns about colonial undertones, its goal remains the same: to bring “local wares handmade with care” to West Philly neighbors.

Also, a reminder that the Winter Express Shoppers’ Trolley (W.E.S.T.) will return Saturday (Dec. 8), 12-5 p.m., to offer free rides along Baltimore and Lancaster Avenues. For more information, go here.
