Get your kids excited about science, sign up for free ACES program at UPenn

May 24, 2019

On Saturday, June 1, the Activities for Community Education in Science (ACES) outreach program at the University of Pennsylvania, is inviting students in grades 3rd-8th to perform a diverse and exciting line-up of experiments. Each student will have an opportunity to perform and discuss several different experiments in small groups, engaging in science demonstrations with other attendees.

Experiments will include:

• Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream
• Balloon-Powered Cars
• Colorful Chemistry
• Gold Nanoparticles
• Separating Dyes with Electricity
• Marshmallow Spaghetti Towers

The program is led by graduate students from the Chemistry Department at Penn. By engaging in hands-on activities with the kids, the program organizers hope to get the students interested in science while learning and having fun!

Registration for this free event will go live on the morning of Sunday, May 26 at the following link: http://www.acesphiladelphia.com/aces-spring-2019-program. Please note that registration numbers are normally capped at 150 participants, although they often keep a wait list as well.

More information can be found on the program website: www.acesphiladelphia.com.
