Starting Thursday, April 9, SEPTA will switch to a “Lifeline Service Schedule,” when service will be modified to make stops only at select stations or will be suspended on entire routes. As part of these new measures focusing on essential travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, Route 34 Trolley will be suspended until further notice beginning Thursday. All other routes – 10, 11, 13, 15, 36 – will continue to operate on a Saturday schedule, seven days a week.
In addition, the following trolley line stations will be closed: 13th St, 19th St, 33rd St, and 36th St.
SEPTA will also temporarily close the 56th and 63rd St Stations in West Philadelphia on the Market-Frankford Line.
Some bus routes will also be suspended beginning this Thursday until further notice. Bus routes 21, 42, 52 will keep running on a Saturday schedule.

Something should have been done sooner to protect the drivers, crews and riders. There are essential workers who depend on trolleys and the EL to get to and from work. Please note the EL stops being closed. All are very low income areas.

Any sense of ridership levels recently? In the past I would take the #13 because 34 was often packed by 46th st.

I dont know why 52nd isn’t close because the g bus goes to 56th. And can connect to the trolley. Then close 60th st.
