In the aftermath of last weekend’s protests and unrest, there were reports that some residents, especially senior citizens, were unable to get their medication because some pharmacies remained closed. As stores have begun reopening, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health has compiled a list of open pharmacies, including independent pharmacies, and has also provided information on free/low-cost prescription delivery options. Click here to see the list and for more information. The list also includes information on whether these pharmacies offer COVID-19 testing. If you know of any independent pharmacies that should be added to this list, please email gethealthyphilly@phila.gov
If your neighborhood pharmacy is currently closed, here’s more information on how to get your prescription filled (from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health website):
• If you need a prescription filled and your regular pharmacy is inaccessible, you should first go to another store in the same pharmacy chain. All stores within a chain will have your prescription information.
• If you cannot find a store in the same chain, go to an open store from a different pharmacy chain and ask the pharmacist to request your prescription information from the chain you regularly go to.
• If your regular pharmacy was not part of a chain, or other pharmacists cannot get the information, contact your doctor to get a new prescription sent to a pharmacy that is open.

What a lame article. “Protests and unrest” don’t capture the reality. How about “rioting and looting?” There were “reports?” No, there is evidence. Black lives matter except to the looters, black and white, who didn’t care about black people whose supermarkets and pharmacies were destroyed.

Yeah, that’s the MAGA line and the MAGA agenda is in deep, deep trouble. This doesn’t mean Biden is some kind of panacea. La lucha continua…
