The number of new COVID-19 cases has been increasing in the Philadelphia region in recent weeks, with daily numbers topping 800 cases, which is higher than in the spring. As of Wednesday, 50,536 total cases were reported in the city and 1,904 total deaths.
The Philadelphia Department of Public Health reminds residents to keep wearing masks, practice social distancing, stay home as much as possible, and wash hands with soap and water. It is also very important to keep an eye out for symptoms and get tested if you experience COVID-19 symptoms (persistent cough, fever, shortness of breath, or loss of the sense of smell or taste) or have been exposed to someone with the infection.

Wow, Philadelphia numbers are worse than I thought. I left the city for Denver several years ago, and I’m finding that getting testing here is tough (my urgent care center, https://rockymountainurgentcare.com/, is processing tens of thousands of tests per week at this point). Sending love to my favorite city.
