Philadelphia has extended its agreement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to continue the operation of the mass COVID vaccine clinic at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (1101 Arch St.) until May 25. The clinic has again begun administering first doses of the Pfizer vaccine this week after completing the administration of second doses over the past three weeks to those who received their first doses last month.
On Wednesday, the FEMA-run Center City clinic began accepting walk-ups.
The Philadelphia Department of Public Health will schedule appointments for Philadelphia residents who have completed the City’s Vaccine Interest form between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. or called 311. City residents can also walk up without an appointment between 8 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Currently, the city is administering the vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) to essential workers and other residents eligible in Phases 1A, 1B and 1C, but starting Monday, April 19, all adults (age 16 and older) will be eligible for COVID vaccinations in Philadelphia.
