A Shar-pei has been wandering around the neighborhood for at least a couple of days, and was last seen near 36th & Walnut around 10 a.m. this morning. No collar.
A number of people have attempted to grab him, but he is terribly skittish/timid and will run if approached. He is probably starved, so any attempts to lure him would best be done with food. If you see this dog, please post location and time in the comments. If anyone knows the owner please get in touch with them ASAP and let us know.

SATURDAY — He/she’s back in the neighborhood!! We just followed this pooch from 43rd to 52nd. He was going west up Cedar, zig-zagging a bit. He moves quickly. Again, he will keep a safe distance and will run if approached.

Just saw the dog running through the 4600 block alley between Osage and Pine. I couldn’t even get close enough to try to catch him/her. Two women in a truck, who had not read the listserv messages but realized that the dog seemed lost, were planning to follow and try to catch him/her.

Just saw him going east on 4500 block of Pine (Sat at 4pm). Also tried to get him, but he ran off. No one was following him.

i saw the sharpei today at 45th and osage. I got out of the car and tried to call to him but he had none of it. good luck!

Seen at 5pm still around 46th & Osage/Pine… Unless he is cornered, either in a blocked alleyway or other enclosure, he will be difficult to capture. He needs food!
