Found black female cat (46th & Springfield)

February 4, 2012

A reader found an all black short haired female cat on Thursday (Feb. 2) night at 46th and Springfield. She is small and lightweight, very quiet and well behaved, with golden eyes. The cat was wearing a pink collar so it looks like she belongs to someone or did at some point.

If you are missing this lovely kitty, please email to: sydneypz [at] gmail.com.

I’m not quite sure, but this might be my downstairs neighbor’s cat. She’s a petite black kitty that sometimes wears a pink collar. I will check with her…

she may be a house cat that lives at the end of 48th and Regent too

my neighbor took her in about 2 years ago and lets her come and go, feeds her. we love having this cat as a block presence; very sweet likes to be pet and roll in the street’s sun

PLEASE do not take her to a shelter. I will check with my neighbour and email the above

Ayse and mB, please have your neighbor email me at sydneypz@gmail.com so that we can figure out if she is the same cat. Thanks for your help!

Hi, all! The kitty had a microchip and through it, I was able to find her owners. She’d been missing for months and the contact info was right there so that she could be returned, if only someone had taken her to be scanned. She was only three blocks from home, too. Thanks for all your help, and big thanks to the folks at PAWS!
