Neighbor Emily emailed us with this information:
“Found this cute little bugger wandering the streets and crying on 6/11/2012 around 52nd and Hazel. Sorry for the blurry pic, he is such a cuddlemonster he won’t stay still! Male, not neutered, probably under a year old but may just be skinny. He is a sweetie-pie and not aggressive towards other cats. I would like to find someone willing to foster him or give him a forever home. I’ll probably only be able to hold onto him for maybe a day or two before I have to take him to the SPCA (I rent and am not allowed to keep him). Please email e.j.mattes@gmail.com for more info.”

Update to this: found out from a neighbor he is indeed a stray! You wouldn’t know it though, doesn’t seem to have fleas or ear mites and his coat is soft and clean. I made a video of him, all he likes to do right now is eat and get petted: http://youtu.be/4aLKmsfn_Kg
He has to leave my apartment by Friday, hopefully somebody would like to take him before then. I would be willing to help contribute to vaccination and neutering costs.

Emily, he is totally precious! Is the spittin’ image of small tux Basil. I hope he finds a great foster human soon… 🙂

A second update: Sir Rupert has a home (and probably a new name)! A friend will be taking him in.
