   I just went over there and found this friendly kitten near 47th and Hazel. She is clearly being cared for with her own shelter, food, and water. So, please don’t take her home. I’ll try to find out what her story is. I don’t know about the other kitten.

   Jess, I only got a vague story from the caretaker’s housemates. Apparently, he picked up the one kitten somewhere in West Philly and is caring for her on his back porch. I don’t know anything more, I left my number. Apparently there aren’t others. However, if you know someone who is interested in adopting kittens, please contact me at margemsp@yahoo.com. My sister rescued a litter of 8 adorable calico females. They will be ready for adoption in a week or two.

   Thanks Margems- I will email you if I can find someone to adopt any of the cute calicos your sister has. I hope this torti is ok on the porch by itself.

   If someone is willing to offer foster/temporary care (indoors!) for this kitty, discount vetting is available at PAWS clinic. Kitten(s) should not be kept outdoors, even if being fed — very unsafe! All that is needed is an enclosed room, litter, food, water, toys, and some TLC. 🙂

   Linda, since we don’t know the kitten’s caretaker’s plans for this kitten (he didn’t respond to the note I left with his housemates, if he received it), I think that if someone did want to offer indoor care for this kitten, that they should contact the caretaker first.
