5-year-old hurt in hit-and-run, police searching for driver

Police are searching for the driver of a grey Pontiac minivan who struck a 5-year-old boy this morning at 52nd and Baltimore and fled the scene. The car’s Pennsylvania license plate number is HCA-5975, according to police.

The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and is in stable condition, according to CBS.

If you see the vehicle, call police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).

    It’s just a matter of time before the driver is caught, since they have the plate.

    Now, why is there no news about the pit bull attack on Baltimore Ave last week? An unattended pit bull mauled a neighbor’s dog.

    Why would a dog fight make the local news? I mean this question seriously. My own dog was attacked by an off-leash dog over the summer but I wouldn’t expect it would make a news-worthy blog post!

    Sorry about your neighbor’s dog, but I would certainly hope that a five year old child being injured in a hit and run takes priority over a dog fight. Especially since the cowardly driver responsible is still at large.
