Dude is seriously jealous that younger guys can eat doughnuts and not gain any weight. Goes to show, though, one way or another those doughnuts will kill you.

Corey. You drink out of a hopeless straw. To be honest, I can’t believe that the moderators allowed your comment to be posted. Your comment is insensitive and displays what little empathy you have for people in an awful situation. 41st and Lancaster is one of the worst intersections in the city. A complete cross-section of misery. I am there almost daily. Maybe we can meet there? Give me a date and time.

This is sad. At least it’s refreshing that he wasn’t the more typical gun-wielding 18-29 demographic.

OMG, Wow this gun shooting looked like an episode of like COPS. So unnerving to think these senseless acts occur in our city, not just places like Pierce County Washington, Atlanta, Metro-Dade County, Florida or even Ft. Worth. COPS is intended as entertainment but to me it’s just sad that people can just veg out after work/school and just literally watch sad scenarios just play out in real time. It’s like riding a Greyhound from nowhere to nowhere and just eating and sleeping with the depart-the-heart emigre. Getting back on topic though, I know that 41st and Lancaster is a tough little nook. There is a gym and a smoothie establishment on 39th that have been there as long as I can remember, however not much else has changed for the better. I remember getting some super tasty crispy fried Lebanese treats some years ago along that stretch of Lancaster Avenue but lately it seems like the only notable fare is just one Thai restaurant, Ted’s Pizza, Ed’s Pizza, Hoagie City, and a bit further out, the McDonald’s near the Belmont Plateau. As far as recreation, there are a couple of parks but the aphids have just been nectaring the roots clean and the ants have been piercing and accommodating the Robins and the Skeeter’s are short lived thanks to the Swallows. I think the neighbor would really benefit from a revitalization effort. Between 38th street and 61st Street. Maybe add some healthy alternatives to fast food like maybe a Taco Fresco, an organic city garden. If the changes are proposed, the District Counsel can invoke the re-zoning permits and we can look to cities like Detroit and Cleveland and their enigmaticaly sweeping clean up efforts.
