There’s a lot of road construction going out there right now. That means the occasional closed street and detour – and lots of orange cones. This driver found out what can happen if you ignore the cones along 45th Street near Walnut, where crews are replacing pipes.

It looks like they were backing out of the parking lot behind the Chinese Christian Church where that car is visible on google street view. There was nothing placed at the opening to the parking lot and the only way to exit it is in reverse so the driver probably could not see the deep trench in their mirrors.
