Here’s great news for the Woodlands cemetery’s numerous visitors: The Woodlands has now brand-new restroom facilities – in the Carriage House (Stable) building, located next to the Community Garden (see map here).
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new facilities will take place this Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11:30 a.m. The bathrooms will be open for all events at the Woodlands, and whenever there is staff on-site.
Funding for the new restrooms came largely from the William Penn Foundation.
The Woodlands is open to visitors, including runners and dog walkers, daily from dawn to dusk. Also this Saturday, the Woodlands is hosting the bi-annual West Craft Fest, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information is available here. Check out more fall events at the Woodlands here.

As West Craft Fest organizers, we are super excited about the new restroom situation too, especially since we no longer have to rent the portable potties! Just wanted to make a small correction: our Fest is actually held three times a year (not bi-annual); in spring and fall at the Woodlands, and in December at the Rotunda. The Holiday Fest is actually 2 days this year, December 7 and 8.

Just wanted to note that The Woodlands is NOT a public park. It is a private non-profit organization.

Elaine- they changed the name of the craft show last fall. Some people were upset by the name. You can read about it here on their instagram.

I went to the craft show and the new bathrooms are really nice. Very clean and bright and a welcome addition.
