Philadelphia Water customers finally have an option to switch to paperless billing and pay their bills online. The City’s Water and Revenue Departments have recently launched a new, paperless e-billing service for water bills. Customers are urged to create e-billing accounts at www.phila.gov/waterbill.
Users of the new e-billing site can:
• Set up automatic payments for free
• Opt-out of paper bills
• Sign up for reminders and alerts
• Look up past bills
The system was created through a performance-based contract and the City is not paying for the services. The service fee for debit/credit card payments is currently $2.95. E-check payments and AutoPay with checking are free.
By allowing customers to opt-out of paper bills and pay online, the City estimates savings of over $300,000 in the first year due to reduced printing and mailing costs.

This is awesome! No more blue envelopes!
I was already enrolled in Zipcheck…no mention of it on the site. I guess it will just run in parallel to the autopay feature on the site?
