What’s closed, what’s open on Thanksgiving; SEPTA holiday service

If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving in the neighborhood, check out information below on holiday hours and closings at some popular local stores and cafes. We also included information on SEPTA holiday service. Information on Thanksgiving Parade is available here.

SEPTA Holiday Service

• Buses, trains, and trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day.

• Broad Street and Market Frankford and Broad Street Line and trains will operate with all night service beginning Thursday, Nov. 28 at 12:01 a.m. Regular Owl Bus service will resume Friday, Nov. 29 at 12:01 a.m. 

•  On Friday, Nov. 29, Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 15, 34, and 36 and several bus routes will operate on a Modified Weekday schedule

Thanksgiving Hours and Closings at Local Businesses:

Grocery & Liquor Stores

Aldi (46th and Market): Thursday: Closed

Mariposa Food Co-op (49th and Baltimore): Thursday: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Supreme “Shop-n-Bag” (43rd and Walnut): Thursday: 7 a.m.- 6 p.m.

The Fresh Grocer: 40th & Walnut: Open 24 hours. 56th and Chestnut: Closes at 5 p.m on Thursday.

Fine Wine & Good Spirits: All stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Cafes

Green Line Cafe: Baltimore Avenue: Closing at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27; Closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. Locust St: Closed Thursday & Friday. Powelton: Closed Thursday & Friday. 40th St: Closed Thursday & Friday.

Milk & Honey Market (45th and Baltimore): Thanksgiving Day: Closed; Friday, Nov. 29: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

ReAnimator Coffee (47th and Pine): Thursday: Open until 3 p.m. Friday: regular hours.
