Free COVID-19 testing through Monday with CATE mobile testing unit

November 20, 2020

Pennsylvania’s Community-Accessible Testing & Education initiative’s mobile testing unit, CATE, will be making stops in Philadelphia for the next three days. Adults and children needing COVID-19 tests can receive one at no-cost thanks to a partnership with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Philadelphia Fight.

CATE’s tour schedule includes the following stops in West Philly:

• Saturday, Nov. 21, 9am-12pm, Vine Memorial Baptist Church, 5600 W. Girard Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19131

• Saturday, Nov. 21, 2pm-6pm, Woodland Rec Center, 1414 S 47th Street, Philadelphia PA 19143

• Monday, Nov. 23, 9am-12pm, Mill Creek Playground, 4700 Brown St., Philadelphia, PA 19139

Children ages 0-18, or adults, ages 18+, may be tested, regardless of whether they have a known exposure or have symptoms. The test administered by CATE is the anterior nasal swab. Tests will take approximately 48 hours to produce results, and individuals will be contacted by phone with results in 3-5 business days.

Services are available on a first come, first serve basis. Social distancing and masking guidelines must be followed at all times.

Information about additional upcoming stops can be found by visiting www.CATEmobileunit.com or on Facebook.

I got my test done on the 23 of November and still have not received a call or text message or even a email. I have been calling a number provided and the voicemail box is full and I have also emailed them as well. I need a written notice of my results I am a healthcare worker and need this documentation for work.I know everyone is doing the best they can during this time but it is frustrating that I can not get a response or get in touch with anyone.
