The Open Sweat Jam West Philly Community Music & Fitness Festival is set to take over The Lawn at uCity Square on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, for a day filled with live music, fitness activities, and community engagement.

The festival will feature Live Beats Fitness, an innovative fusion of live music and fitness led by internationally renowned drummer Jeremy Boyd (also known as “Wheat Bread”), a current touring drummer for the legendary Lauryn Hill.

In addition to the fitness activities, the festival will support early voting through a special activation. Attendees will have access to free shuttle services from the festival to the nearby early voting location at 4029 Market Street, just a 10-minute walk from the event. Participants who vote or register to vote will be rewarded with exclusive incentives, including entry into the Ultimate Philly Music & Fitness Raffle and access to the Open Sweat Jam & Jam Session, featuring performances from festival artists. The shuttle service will run from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM, and feature live acoustic musical performances to and from the early voter location.

Joining the lineup is Nate McIntyre, owner of BodyRock Boot Camp, a West Philadelphia-based gym that gained national attention after its appearance on Netflix’s hit show “Queer Eye.”

Also performing is Boogiemandela, a Philadelphia-based rap artist, producer, and sound engineer.
