Ceramic Concept to close on Baltimore Ave; Last shopping day + community celebration this Saturday

January 17, 2025

Ceramic Concept, a locally-owned shop located at 5015 Baltimore Avenue, is closing its doors at this location after four years of operation, according to an announcement by owner and curator Stefani Threet.

The shop may reopen at a new location in the fall. This Saturday, Jan. 18, everyone is invited to celebrate the store’s 4th anniversary and shop at this location for the last time. Everything in the store, which offers handmade pottery/ceramics and jewelry made by artists of color and women artists, will be 20 percent off. Plus, there will be food and wine and other items available for sale, like candles, local honey, and more.

“My Gallery/Store is closing on Baltimore Avenue after 4 beautiful years in business,” Stefani posted on Instagram. “Come celebrate 4 wonderful years with food, wine, and community. I really want to thank my community for rallying around my vision, love of art, and supporting artists who look like me. I opened up shop 8 blocks from where I was born and raised and worked with over 200 artists. I want to thank every single person who has shown me support.”

The store will be open from Noon – 5 p.m.
