The Second Mile Center (215 S. 45th St.) has posted signs to make sure people know it’s not associated with the Second Mile charity, which has been embroiled in the scandal at Penn State.

A house turned Dumpster

Neighbors have been complaining about some folks dumping their garbage near the abandoned house at 629 S. 49th Street. We went over to check it out and here’s what we saw.

Some trees still need help after hurricane

Falling tree

Today we came across this tree located at the corner of 42nd and Spruce. It needs to be pushed upright, otherwise it may fall over into the street soon when another storm blows through. See that car in danger? There was another tree that required re-positioning (at 43rd and Spruce), but maybe because it’s younger (and smaller) it has already been taken care of.
