Chico and Mouse Face looking for new home

Posted on 15 September 2014 by WestPhillyLocal.com

Chico

Chico

A West Philly Local reader is looking for a new home for his two lovely and beautiful cats, Chico and Mouse Face. The cats owner now often travels out of the country for work and is forced to seek out a new home for them. The cats are around 9 years old; they are brothers from the same litter.

“It would do my heart a world of good to know that perhaps there is a way to find them a good home here in the neighborhood. Knowing that they’re close to me and that I am friendly with the potential new owners would make my life so much better,” the cats owner, Dev wrote in an email.

The following items will be included with the cats:

• auto-feeder
• water fountain
Cat Genie automated litterbox (Youtube video of how it works)

Dev also would like to compensate the new owners monthly cost of food at the start, provided he met them and they all got along.

If you’re interested in adopting these cats or for more information about them, email: deviant [at] deviating.net

Pit bull puppy found at Warrington and Saint Bernard

Posted on 09 August 2014 by WestPhillyLocal.com

pitbullpuppy

This pit bull puppy was found Friday night, around 11 p.m., near Warrington and Saint Bernard. The puppy looks to be about 4 months old and appears to be a red nose pit. The person who found him took him to the PAWS clinic and he got all his shots and dewormed. The puppy is getting along with a dog and a cat that live in the house where he’s currently staying. He’s already being potty trained and learning to walk on the leash.

The puppy doesn’t have a microchip.

If the puppy’s owner is not found he will need a new home. He can only be fostered at his current location until the owner or a new home is found. If you have any information about the owner or would like to adopt the puppy please email: avery.carter [at] gmail.com.

Adopt-a-Dog: Theo

Posted on 23 July 2014 by WestPhillyLocal.com

dogTheo

Theo.

Theo is a beautiful black male pit bull terrier looking for a new home. He’s only 9 months old. He was surrendered to the local animal control last week by his owner.

What makes this dog stand out is the fact that his owner obviously loved him very much and wants to make sure he finds a loving new home. He/she wrote a detailed letter about Theo (see below) describing everything he likes, dislikes, etc. Most people who surrender a pet do not even want to fill some basic information out, according to volunteers who work at the shelter.

Theo is available for adoption or foster care.

If you’re interested in meeting Theo please note that all resident dogs and family members need to come to ACCT to meet him before he can go into foster care or be adopted. Theo will be neutered, vaccinated and chipped before going to a new home.

Here’s more information on the ACCT shelter and its hours:
