Due to the weekend snow storm, all Philadelphia public schools and pre-kindergarten programs will be closed again on Tuesday, Jan. 26, according to the District’s announcement. There will be a two-hour delay opening for all administrative offices.
Archdiocese of Philadelphia schools will also be closed on Tuesday.

Due to the snow storm that occurred over the weekend, all city public schools will be closed Monday, January 25, the Philadelphia School District has announced. All early childhood and after school programs and all administrative offices will also be closed.

The City has declared a snow emergency effective 9 p.m. Friday. If you parked your vehicle along any of the snow emergency routes, please move it as soon as possible. All vehicles remaining parked along the emergency routes after 9 p.m. will be towed. If your car is towed please call 215-686-SNOW.
Here are the snow emergency routes in West Philadelphia:
• Chestnut Street from Cobbs Creek Parkway to 20th Street
• Walnut Street from Broad Street to Cobbs Creek Parkway
• Woodland Avenue from Cobbs Creek Parkway to University Avenue
• 34th Street from University Avenue to Grays Ferry Avenue
• 38th Street from Walnut to University Avenue
• 63rd Street from City Avenue to Walnut Street
• University Avenue from 38th Street to 34th Street
• Island Avenue from Woodland Avenue to Enterprise Avenue
• Cobbs Creek Parkway from Walnut Street to Woodland Avenue
• Schuylkill Avenue from Market Street to Walnut Street
As of 9 p.m., meter and time limit violations will not be enforced in the city, but snow emergency routes and safety violations will be enforced.

Don’t forget to vote today. The slate of offices up for grabs include mayor, city council and, perhaps most important and least predictable this time around, seats on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Check on your voter registration status here and find your polling place here. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Registered voters who are in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
All 17 seats on the City Council will be on the ballot. Some 14 candidates are running for at-large seats. Here’s a rundown from the Committee of Seventy. Jannie Blackwell is running unopposed for the 3rd District seat. As usual, the mayor’s race was likely decided in the primary.
The election for three seats on state’s Supreme Court has drawn a lot of interest among criminal justice activists, who see it as a test of the state’s commitment to easing mass incarceration and sentencing reforms. Here’s a rundown of the candidates for Supreme Court from the Committee of Seventy.
