Charlie is available for adoption through City Kitties. She is 2-3 years old. Charlie was rescued by a concerned volunteer who didn’t want to see this sweet kitty on the streets this winter. Originally the rescuer thought Charlie was a boy, but a close look proved she was a girl, but the name stuck anyway.
Charlie always likes to be in the same room as people, so you won’t be lonely. She doesn’t like to be picked up, but will snuggle on the couch, in bed, on your lap, etc. like a champ! Charlie loves to play with fuzzy toys and will scurry after a laser pointer all day long. What she is really looking for is a quiet home with humans to give her lots of pets, food and chin scratches.
She gets along with other cats, but she would do best in a house with her people to herself. Charlie is spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, FVRCP and rabies vaccinated, uses the litterbox, and was treated for fleas and parasites as needed. To fill out an adoption application, go here. A masked man robbed the Green Line Cafe in Powelton at gunpoint yesterday. The robbery is the second at a Green Line in the past week.
Police said the man entered the cafe on Lancaster Avenue near 36th Street at about 4:20 p.m. and fled on foot with about $500. The man is described as white, about 5’10” and wearing a grey hoodie, philly.com reported.
Police say the description is similar to the person who robbed the Green Line at 45th and Locust on April 25. Police confirmed that a suspect was detained and later released. No arrests have been made.

Update (05/03): Mario has been found and is back home (see comments).
Mario is about 5 years old, 20 lbs, and totally black. He is often very jumpy and scared (even inside with folks he knows). He will hide.
Mario loves food, maybe too much. He will be very cautious with new environments even with food available.
Once comfortable Mario will cry your ear off. He loves to narrate his every move with a meow. He is very friendly.
If found please contact Nick Hunter at nickehunter@gmail.com or by phone at 804-519-5224.

If you are a noodle lover, this news should make you happy. Ramen Bar may be coming to the former Locust Moon Comics space at 40th and Locust Streets soon if their liquor license application gets approved. The building at 4040 Locust Street, owned by 4040 Locust Street Partners, L.P., formerly also hosted Strike Bowling Lounge, and the Redcap’s Corner gaming shop. Keswick Cycle opened at this location last year.
Foobooz reports that an ad looking for a head chef for a ramen restaurant close to the University of Pennsylvania was posted online back in January. The opening date listed in the ad was May 2012 and it looks like it could be for this restaurant. Judging by the boards covering the building, the opening may be later than May. We’ll let you know as soon as there is more information available.
